Experiential Learning Visit to Echo Asia...

Master’s and Ph.D. students from the Organic Agriculture Management and Innovative Agricultural Products Program, International College, Maejo University, recently participated in an enriching academic field visit to the EcoAsia Impact Center.
The study tour was led by Dr. Prakash Murgeppa Bhuyar, Assistant Dean of the International College, together with the dedicated staff of the International College. This visit aimed to strengthen students’ practical understanding beyond classroom learning through real-world exposure and hands-on observation.
During the visit, students gained valuable insights into:
1. Biochar production unit and its sustainable applications
2. Sand filtration system for water management
3. Poultry and livestock feeding systems
4. Seed bank and advanced seed storage system
The tour was generously guided by Mr. Shaun and the Head of the Center, Mr. Patrick, who shared their expertise, practical experiences, and innovative approaches in sustainable agriculture and environmental management.
This academic visit provided our students with meaningful knowledge exchange, bridging theory with practice. At International College, we believe learning is not limited to lectures true education comes from seeing, engaging, and doing.

On Thursday, 26 February 2026,
Dr. Watcharanan Thongma and Mrs. Kannika Khamsi attended the wreath-laying ceremony in honor of the Father of Thai Cooperatives on the occasion of Thai Cooperative Father’s Day. The ceremony was held to commemorate the contributions of Prince Bidyalongkorn, the Prince of Kamphaeng Phet, who is recognized as the Father of Thai Cooperatives.
On this occasion, they paid their respects at the monument plaza and visited exhibition booths organized by various organizations at the Faculty of Economics. On 23 February 2026,
Assistant Professor Dr. Jirachai Yomkird, Assistant to the President of Maejo University, welcomed distinguished committee members from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) during their field visit to monitor and follow up on the implementation of the Regional Research Network (Northern Region) in Chiang Mai.
On this occasion, he also participated in discussions and exchanges of ideas as a key contributor driving the “Model Community Research Center for the Miracle Termite Mushroom Cultivation: 7 Days to Generate Income” project, located in Mae Faek Mai Subdistrict, San Sai District, Chiang Mai Province.

On 17 February 2026,
Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Winitra Leelapattana and Dr. Suthira Sitthikun, Associate Dean of the International College, participated in the National Day Reception of Japan in celebration of the 66th Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.
