Summer Course on Smart Eco Bio-Production Agriculture (SC-SOBA) 2022
Following the success of SC-SOBA 2021, the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, Indonesia is hosting a virtual Summer Course on Smart Eco Bio-Production Agriculture (SC-SOBA) 2022 with a title "Climate-Smart AgricultureSC-SOBA 2022 is a 3-credit transferable course, with a case-based learning approach, and with activities that include:Independent study on LMS: 1-13 July 2022 Weekly course meetings on Thursdays and Fridays: 14 July-5 August 2022Final case study presentation: 12 August 2022We have gathered scientists and practitioners from around the world to speak at our summer course. MJU-IC hosts 2022 AITC
Maejo University International College (MJU-IC) under the collaboration between Maejo University (MJU) and Thailand International Agency (TICA) hosted Annual International Training Course (AITC) during February 7th - February 26th 2022. This year AITC programme was conducted under “Sufficiency Economy Philosophy: Tools and Application for Sustainable Community Development”. The training program consists of 58 participants from 22 countries all over the world such as Bhutan, Cambodia, Ecuador, Egypt, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Guyana, Indonesia, Jordan, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Panama, Philippines, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor Leste, UGANDA, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. The training programme was conducted virtually via Zoom as a result of COVID-19 pandemic which has restricted travelling between countries, as part of government standard measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The three week online training program covers a wide range of disciplines besides Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, which are as follows: Community development, Sustainable Agriculture Water Management, Gastronomy Tourism, Bio-Circular Green Economy, Sustainable Highland Farming, Animal Production in Community, Sustainable Tourism Development, Best Practice of Sufficiency Economy to Community Development, Organic Cannabis for Medical Use, Earthworm Composting of Organic Garbage and Organic Composting Human Waste, Innovation of Organic Agriculture and Final Product in Thailand. Besides lectures by Professors the training requires group online presentations, report and online program evaluation. A special thanks to Assoc.
